Tidehead Fly Fishing Destinations

Tidehead is a fly fishing destinations service run by experienced fly fishing guides. They have the relationships and experience to book the right guides and lodges for each of their customers. They’ve been to (and currently book in) Cuba, Mexico, Belize, and Christmas Island.

Content & Design

Tidehead came to us to help them migrate their website onto a content management system. Their previous site was static, which didn’t allow them to make changes to it without the help of a web developer. They wanted the ability to make changes over time, and we agree that it’s important for any business owner to have that control on their own website.

With all of the content on their previous website, and some additional content and pictures they provided, we moved their website onto Umbraco and incorporated their existing design.

Our designer also migrated their customized navigation over to Umbraco to help preserve this sweet feature and provide a more enhanced experience for users to find the information they are looking for.

With comprehensive pages for each of their destinations, we helped Tidehead organize their content in a way that would be easy to navigate for their users. Our designer worked very closely with the owner to create a page template that gave him the look he was going for while also keeping the end user in mind so they could easily find the information they needed. After the template was approved, we used it to load the rest of their destination pages in similar format to help keep consistency across their site.

Development

Tidehead needed the ability to sell apparel and merchandise on their website. We helped them set up an Ecwid account, and they were able to load all of their products onto Ecwid with ease. We just integrated their shop into their new website.
